New years events in Raleigh for 2024
The new year is a time in which a new calendar year begins. Overall, the new year is an important occasion that many cultures choose to celebrate. Many have a variety of different traditions and different ways that they chose to celebrate this annual event. The celebrations range from fireworks, to family get-togethers and ball drops that take place around the world. Because of the wide variety of celebrations that go on, families may choose to travel. In the triangle area, there is a wide variety of events that are being hosted. From the local acorn drop in downtown Raleigh to firework shows across the triangle, there is something for all to do. New years events in Raleigh for 2024:
- Downtown Raleigh: On December 31st, WRAL is hosting their annual new year’s party downtown. This event includes live music, crafts, magic, fireworks, and much more. Before midnight hits, an acorn is dropped and fireworks go off in order to ring in and celebrate the new year.
- NC museum of natural science: The NC museum of natural science is hosting an event this year. This event consists of four floors of delicious food, high end open bars, craft cocktails, a DJ, and two open dance floors. Tickets include admission, food, beverages and entertainment.
- The Lincoln Theater: The Lincoln theater is hosting an event called Big Something New Years Eve. This event takes place over a three day time span. On the first day, Little Stranger will perform on the 29th. On day two Fireside collective will take the stage. Then on the 31st Susto String Band will perform. Ticket passes for all three events cost $75 per person.
- The green light bar: One can spend their NYE by enjoying a speakeasy at the green light bar. You can expect to dine on a four course meal that consists of 3 mini dessert bites and one shareable charcuterie board. Tickets will also allow one to access the Architect bar and the social house. Tickets cost $108 per person.
- The Fair View: Get ready to ring in the new year at the Fair View. This event features DJ Shaun Nyce, official DJ of fantasia, Jodeci, and SWV. Tickets start at $30.
